Alpha-Galactosidase

Alpha-galactosidase enzyme is a hydrolytic enzyme which catalyzes the breakdown of glycoproteins, glycolipids, and polysaccharides.
Galactosidase enzyme is one the important enzymes, catalyzing many reactions especifically removal of alpha-galactose from oligosaccharides. Galactosidase enzymes have their importance in many medical conditions like fabry disease, RERT therapy, etc.
