Phytase

Also known as myo-inositol hexakisphosphate phosphohydrolase as it catalyzes the hydrolysis of of myo-inositol hexakisphosphate, an nondigestible form of organic phosphorus found in plant cells commonly known as phytic acid.

Prime Industrial uses:

  • Phytase enzyme is mainly used in feed as a feed additive for cattle, swine, poultry, and sometimes in fish feed too for the enhancement of the nutritive value of feed.

  • Used in the production of phosphorus in small amounts.
